If you’ve never listened to the podcast before, this is not a typical episode. I usually talk about anime (as the name implies), but I just bought Red Faction and noticed that NOBODY IS TALKING ABOUT THIS GAME! In order to fix that problem, Elliot and I spend an hour talking about how much fun it is to blow shit up on Mars.

Well, it looks like we’re back to the lazy, almost no editing format of the show. I like doing the professional sounding stuff, but it takes forever and makes me dread recording. I’ll put out a really nice one every once and a while, but I’m gonna chill out for a month or so. As the title implies, if you haven’t seen Air TV, I spoil the entire series. It’s not that good so don’t worry about it.

Intro (0:33 – 4:57)
Sorry I’m late guys. It’s a mixture of actual things preventing me from recording, and me just being lazy. Then when I did finally record everything I kept getting distracted during the editing process. That’s okay though because this episode turned out to be pretty funny. At least, I was laughing during post.

News (5:07 – 9:57)
New anime for Yoshitoshi Abe! That’s really all you need to know. Unfortunately, that’s all you will know until they release more information about it. I suppose other things happened too. There was a new Haruhi episode, but I didn’t care enough to watch it. The author of Guin Saga died. That’s really depressing. You should go watch the new anime now or she’s going to haunt you. Also, jerk-off stream rippers are leaking anime from Funimation’s website. As of this post, they’ve now leaked an episode of Phantom as well. Good job, ASSHOLE! There’s a great quote from the ANN message boards in here.

Mazinger Z (10:01 – 33:31)
This is mostly a whole bunch of trivia about Mazinger Z. We talked a little bit about the new series at the end, but there’s very little we can say because it’s a lot of the enjoyment is purely visual and hard to put into words. If you don’t believe me, then go watch the damn show–NOW!

Inazuma Eleven (34:24 – 49:00)
This segment was very tricky to edit. I originally did the whole thing drunk. The next day when I looked at the audio I found that it was a damn train wreck. I salvaged what I could, but I had to rerecord at least half of it. Can you guess which parts are the sober parts and which are the drunk parts? Naaaaaaaaaaaaw.

Promo: Dave & Joel’s Fast Karate for the Gentlemen
I’m pretty sure most of my listener base already knows/listens to Fast Karate, but I felt like playing there promo anyway. I wanted to play the Koi Kaze promo because it was stuck in my head during editing, but I couldn’t find the file on my computer. For some reason the link on there site for it doesn’t work anymore, so this will have to do.

Outro (49:59 – 53:34)
I’m not sure I can do my update on Phantom anymore. Unless the prick that’s messing with Funimation knocks it off, I’m not sure if I’ll be able to watch much of anything on their site for a while. That’s okay though, I’ll find something to talk about.

Whiskey Thursday will be out later today. We talked about Crystal Triangle. It’s pretty much the craziest movie in the world.

Intro (0:33-03:31)
I’m kicking it to you solo for the first part of this episode. I’m going to try and bring it back to the old school format. I like how professional it sounds. I promise I’m not going to take all the humor out, it’s just that nothing funny happened this week. For fans of AniPac, I did confirm Dane as a guess host for the Berserk review. Both of use need to refresh our memory first, but it’s something to look out for in the future.

There was a lot of interesting news this week, but nothing that could really be expanded upon. I may link to the articles later, but I pretty much said it all in the podcast.

Xan joins me for the review this week. In short, I only liked the movie, Xan liked both.

Let me know what you think about this format. It’s a lot easier to do and the sound quality is better as well. Next week we’re going to be wrapping up Go Nagai month with an overview of Mazinger Z. It’s most likely going to be about the new series and Mazinkaiser with a few tidbits about the rest of the franchise thrown in.
