I’m convinced casual games don’t exist, in the way most people use the term at least. It’s also the same way I don’t think hardcore gamers exist. Generally I find throwing the terms around to be silly and that its not the game you’re playing but how you play it. Being hardcore in a fighting game for example would be being able to count frames, know all the combos and operate on a much higher level of play than most of the people playing the game. Sadly most people just use “i play gamez wit violence and gunz! –H4RDC0R3xXC0DXxXx420xXx69xXx” Just playing games all the time is a sad thing, especially when its the same goddamn game they spend all their time on and they suck at it.
I feel like you guys and that article on the verge neglected to mention comiket isn’t just comics–its all sorts of stuff from comics to card games. A lot of what I tend to pay attention to is doujin music, since that is something you don’t need to worry about a translation to enjoy. Its just something I try to make note of when it comes up since there is a large portion of the internet that has doujinshi synonymous with porn in their heads since a lot more effort sadly is put into translating the porn that comes out than non-porn stuff.
I will sue you for delaying the show. I’ll see you in court.
