As you may have noticed, these last few weeks have been a little slow in the Whiskey Thursday department. This is due to a variety of factors—no time, unreliability of co-hosts, and lack of material to talk about. It’s not easy finding something to watch each week, let alone someone who’s willing to watch it with me.
The slow degradation of the sister podcast is also a contributing factor. When I started Whiskey Thursday I wanted to do a Fast Karate style podcast. I wanted to talk about anime and games without having a definite structure. Tangents were welcome, but only if they were entertaining and mildly topical. Listeners of the show know that this was not always the case. It went from being a random show about nerd stuff to a cesspool of racism and pornography.
Ever since the wrapping up of Februmarcuary, I’ve been trying to reformat podcast. I’m trying to go back to a more of a structured show in order to gain a larger listener base. Because of this, it’s necessary that I cease production of Whiskey Thursday.
In the coming days, I will be removing all Whiskey Thursday episodes from the website and RSS feed. Fear not listeners, I do have a replacement show in mind. It’s call Monday Morning Moe with Mao-chan. It will debuting next week and will feature our three hour discussion on Moetan, Lucky Star, and Kodomo no Jikan.
