Hey Internet: What’s on Your Anime Expo Wishlist?

Anime Expo is right around the corner. Since it’s one of the largest anime conventions in the world, most anime companies save all their best announcements for AX. What are you hoping will be announced this year?

Are you crossing your fingers for a Megazone 23 Blurray? Maybe you’re hoping someone will license rescue Tokyo Pig. Will someone finally bring over Kodomo no Jikan and put it on Toonami!

Let me know what your AX Wishlist is in the comments!

The main thing I want to see is Viz give us some concrete release information for Tiger and Bunny. My dreams would be to see all of Masaaki Yuasa’s work licensed for release on Blu-ray, Kaiji licensed, and Trapeze licensed but that will never happen.

I’m a bad person. I STILL haven’t watched Trapeze!

I just don’t tend to watch a lot if fansubs. Not for any moral reason. I just find the extra work annoying. I also keep forgetting about it. Too bad you live so far away, we could start a mini anime club.

Let’s see:

-Sentai Filmworks picking up Little Busters! (with Sandy Fox voicing Kudryavka Noumi, imagine Flonne yelling wafu! all of the time).
-More Funimation title announcements
-someone picking up Hayate the Combat Butler! (providing if Bandai’s license expires and dub it).
-NISA dubbing their fucking anime (because that company is being runned by Jews).
-Dub cast announcement for To Aru Majutsu no Index

I don’t think they’ve even announced when Little Buster’s will air in Japan. However, it wouldn’t surprise me if they picked it up when it does.

I’m hoping some company will license/re-license these titles:
-Lupin The Third (the red jacket era that Geneon was dubbing for awhile)
-Master Keaton (I already own the series, but anime fans NEED to see this if they missed the Geneon release)
-Ulysses 31
-The Mysterious Cities of Gold (both the original 80′s series and the sequel series playing right now in France)
-Wicked City
-Mad Bull 34
-Ideon

I honestly don’t care who licenses them. As long as these make it back in circulation on reasonably priced DVDs, I’ll gladly pick them up.

Nozomi/Right Stuf: license-rescue all of Crusher Joe – Now that all of Dirty Pair is out, now would be a good time to get the other Takachiho/Sunrise series since it’s been OOP for a while due to AnimEigo letting the license expire.

FUNimation: Voice cast update for Black Lagoon-Roberta’s Blood Trail & Shakugan no Shana season 2 – Hoping that they got the Ocean cast back for both.

Viz: Release & voice cast update for Berserk movie 1 & release update for Tiger & Bunny – Hoping that for Berserk that they got the TV series cast back and that for Tiger & Bunny, it gets a Blu-ray release and if not then hopefully a DVD release that don’t use flippers (or double-sided discs) like both Vampire Knight sets got and InuYasha-Final Act will be getting.

Any R1 company: Rurouni Kenshin-Shin Kyoto Hen & Mawaru Penguindrum – Hoping for Blu-ray for both but DVD-only would be fine too if it ends up that way.

-Hunter x Hunter (1999)-Gets rescued
-Nagasarete Airantou
-Jormungand-Home video rights
-Rurouni Kenshin: Shin Kyoto-Hen
-The Tatami Galaxy-Home video rights from NISA
-Confirmation on if Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan and Rinne no Lagrange are getting home video rights since they’re getting dubs.
